This Earth of Mankind

This is the first book in Buru Quartet series. It’s a fenomenal, Indonesian classic written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. It’s such a page-turner. Here’s my reviews and comment about this book.

Pachinko

In the early 1900s, teenaged Sunja, the adored daughter of a crippled fisherman, falls for a wealthy stranger at the seashore near her home in Korea. He promises her the world, but when she discovers she is pregnant—and that her lover is married—she refuses to be bought.

Six Tudor Queens 3: Jane Seymour

The third book of Six Tudor Queen. While I enjoy this book, it got more interesting after Jane is married. This book also told the story about Anne Boleyn in the eyes of the people around her, according to Alison Weir

Hamnet – Maggie O’Farrell

This book has received many excellent reviews, hence I purchased it.

Reading this exactly during the COVID19 pandemic, and there’s a pandemic in this book. As much as I would like to love this book, I must admit that I didn’t have the energy every time I started to continue reading it. Probably not the right time to read it. Maybe I’ll revisit this book in the future

The Miniaturist – Jessie Burton

An excellent read! This book kept me entertained from the start til the beginning.

Although I knew that there’s a BBC adaptation of this novel, I haven’t watched the series.
